Ruby, aka Roo. This little girl has the world’s biggest heart. She stole my heart from the day she was born. She is a sweet, gentle girl with the patience of Job. Besides eating, her favorite passtime is running. This chick loves to run, but even on her best, fastest day, she can’t keep up with the others, but she doesn’t care, in her mind she is as fast as a race horse! This a horse you can trust with little kids, ride bareback down the busy road and can be trusted to babysit other horses. She is such a good girl!
Sandy,
It is so fun to see Beau on your blog page. He looks so good. It is so hard for me to see him in the winter, but I can go out to the garage and hang out with him. I look forward to warm, sunny Spring and Summer. I love being outdoors with Beau. It makes everyday seem better when I am with him. He is so handsome. Thanks for taking such great pictures of him. I love him!
Love, Karly
…and she has a cat! One of my horses ‘had a cat’ for a long time, who eventually even gave birth to kittens right in her stall. What a trainwreck that was setting up to be! Add in the factor the dogs were trying to jump into the stall (and were sometimes successful, then could not get out) drama. I built the cat a place of her own for her and her kittens in that stall where the dogs could not see her, right above the feed manger where the kittens had been born. It worked out great. Momma cat and my little mare raised their kittens and they all survived. Momma cat was fixed after that little episode. She passed away many years later, in the stall directly behind my little mare. (The stalls were side to side and back to back).
Wonder what it is that makes cats attached to certain horses.
