Eagle 045We are really lucky, the eagle stop here often.  Eagle 052Lately we have been visited by a Golden Eagle as well, but he has proven to be much more elusive.  The Bald Eagle was recently seen catching a fish out of our pond.   I never tire of watching these beautiful birds.   This one put me over a half hour behind schedule, but it was well worth it!

I remember learning this poem in grade school.

October gave a party;

the leaves by hundreds came

The Chestnuts, Oaks and Maples,

And Leaves of every name.

The Sunshine spread a carpet,

And everything was grand,

Miss Weather led the dancing,

Professor Wind the band.

The Chestnuts came in yellow,

The Oaks in crimson dressed;

The lovely Misses maple

In scarlet looked their best.

All balanced to their partners,

And gaily fluttered by;

The sight was like a rainbow

New Fallen from the sky.
